Boasting fertile volcanic soils, with low acidity, there's no secret as to why Costa Rica is one of the best coffee producing regions in the world. Today's generation of the Aguilera family have taken more than 3 generations of practices and knowledge and combined it with initiative to adapt to the changing climate of Los Robles.
As rising temperatures and impacts of plant disease increased in the region, the family have planted more disease-resistant varietals and hybrids which yield not only delicious lots but sustainable too.
